Lab Services
Belmond Medical Center offers a wide range of laboratory services
to patients of Belmond Medical Center Hospital and Clinic that include
the following:
- Bacteriology (these tests check for bacterial growth and include
tests such as strep, RSV and all cultures)
- Serology (for example, tests for arthritis)
- Chemistry (include glucose, lipids, electrolytes, liver, heart,
kidney, etc)
- Therapeutic Drugs (drugs that must be monitored by a physician)
- Coagulation (checks for clotting disorders; also monitors patients
on blood thinners)
- Immunology/blood banking (for type, Rh and blood transfusions)
- EKG’s (checks heart rhythm)
- Urinalysis (urines)
- Drug Screens Collections (DOT/non DOT)
- Breath Alcohol’s
- Histology (these are tissues that get sent to a pathology)
- Cytology (pap smears that also get sent to pathology)
